Located near Watford City, The Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center is a state historic site marking the meeting of the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers. Take a trip back to the 19th century, when Fort Union in Williston was the most important fur trading post in the region. Eight Northern Plains Native American tribes traded buffalo robes and other furs from around the world. Today, it’s a National Historic Site.
